Update September 19th:

In order to have your FOB activated from September 20th onwards, the ESC is requiring proof-of-vaccination.

The current easiest method of getting this documentation is by entering your PHC#, DOB and Date of your vaccination online here: https://albertavaccinerecord.ca/

You can upload the PDF generated from this website with your proof-of-vaccination via the secure file upload form below

After careful consideration, the Edmonton Squash Club has decided that as of

September 20th we will be following the Alberta business restriction exemption program outlined at https://www.alberta.ca/covid-19-public-health-actions.aspx#restrictions

In practice this will mean:

As of September 20th we will be requiring proof-of-vaccination for your FOB to be enabled at the club. In the coming days the province of Alberta will be rolling out ways to show your vaccination status electronically, but in the meantime a scan of your paper record or other suitable proof emailed to admin@edmontonsquashclub.ca will be accepted. All bookings for individuals who have not emailed the proof of vaccination will be cancelled.

There will be a transition period where individuals who are 2-weeks past their first dose of an eligible vaccine will be permitted entry to the club from September 20th to October 25th. After October 25th proof of 2-doses of an eligible vaccine will be required.

For the moment, the club will not accept medical exemptions or a negative rapid antigen test or RT-PCR test (72 hours in advance) for unvaccinated members to access the club as we await some clarifications from the government and review our COVID management processes. We expect that this policy will be reviewed in the very near future and will be issuing updated guidance for this soon.

Children under the age of 12 can continue to access the club.

Each individual accessing the club must swipe in with their FOB, even if arriving at the same time as your playing partner. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary action in the form of a bookings privilege suspension.

Guests will not be permitted to access the club until staff adjust to the new COVID operating procedures. Once allowed, guests will require proof-of-vaccination.

Non-members registered in programs will be permitted entry to the club with advance submission of proof-of-vaccination.

Hours of operation will be temporarily reduced until staff adjust to new COVID operating procedures. Operating hours will be from 6 AM – 10 PM weekdays and 10 AM – 5 PM weekends. This is expected to last for 1-2 weeks.

Events and programs, including the Season Opener tournament will continue as scheduled within the parameters set above. For further information, please contact John de Vries at john@edmontonsquashclub.org

We realize that there are differing views regarding vaccinations amongst our members, and that not everyone will agree with this decision. After careful deliberation, the board of directors feels that the best way to maintain play for our members is to remain in compliance with public health rules during the current critical medicine crisis in our province, and to ensure both the short and long term viability of the club. If you would like to speak to a board member directly then please feel free to get in touch with the front desk who will be able to connect you with someone from the board.
