On the heels of a very successful trip to the Canadian Junior Open playing up an age bracket in U13, we are looking to help defray the costs of sending Mohammed Elserafy to play in his natural U11 category at the world’s most prestigious Junior tournament, the British Junior Open, in January. Playing in this event would be a fantastic life and squash opportunity for Mohammed, and will hopefully inspire and motivate him to continue his squash journey to the top of the World rankings.
If you are interested in learning more about what this means for this young squash player please read this letter from member John de Vries.
In order to help support Mohammed, we will devote one court at our Christmas Party on December 21st to the Momo challenge – 5 minutes on court with Momo for $5. Do you have what it takes to survive?
Additionally, we will have raffle tickets for a delicious wine basket for sale on the Dec 21st and will draw the winner during the party. Tickets will be $5 each or 3 for $10. All proceeds will go towards sponsoring Momo’s tournament expenses.
Donations will also be accepted at the front desk with any deposits to your account in person or submitted by email to info@edmontonsquashclub.ca.
Come on down to help support a top junior at our club to realize his dream of competing at the British Junior Open!
