The ESC celebrated it’s 3rd birthday party on December 21st during our regular drop-in time with snacks, eggnog, ugly sweaters, ancient racquets and a Momo Challenge on court 3.
There was some serious business afoot as well, with the club trying to raise $3,000 to help fund Momo’s trip to the British Junior Open. With donations coming in from the US and Canada, a wine raffle & Momo doing a yeoman’s work taking on all-comers, we are pleased to announce that we were able to meet our goal, and Momo will be flying to Birmingham to start play on January 2nd. Thanks to John and Caroline de Vries for getting the fundraiser going for Momo, Anne and Chelsea for bringing in the snacks and decorations and Jeff Williams for keeping the drop-in courts going.
