Women's Drop-in
The Edmonton Squash Club often holds women specific drop-ins and events, both for experienced players and beginners. The dates and themes change often, so it's a good idea to either join the Women's event email list or keep an eye on our calendar to see what's coming up.

Women's Summer 2017 Drop-in
The Edmonton Squash Club is pleased to announce Women’s Wednesday Drop-ins every 2nd Wednesday throughout the summer. The first session is this Wednesday May 17th, 2017. It is completely FREE to members and non-members, although we encourage non-members to make a $5 donation to our junior squash development fund. Each drop-in starts at 7 PM with a 30 minute demonstration session from a local squash expert, followed by organized play directed by our front desk drop-in wizard Anne Seath from 7:30 - 9 PM.
Following drop-in, all attendees are invited to relax in the steam room and then socialize with light snacks and our drink-of-the-day, marked down to $5/glass.

Squash: the Perfect Sport for your Body and Mind
If you're trying to get into shape, lose weight or keep up on your health, then squash is the sport for you. It's a high-intensity workout where your heart-rate quickly gets up into the red-zone, but fits into a convenient 45-minute package where tactics and mental focus plays is as important technique and fitness. It's one of the highest calorie-burning sports out there and has consistently been considered the world's healthiest sport.

Women's Drop-in: Learn in a Friendly Environment
It can take several sessions to get comfortable with the rules and movements of squash, and this drop-in is perfect for beginners to meet other playing partners at a similar level in their squash career. We're kicking the guys out for the evening to keep the testosterone down and the fun high!
A Featured Instructor Every Session
Each session will start with a 30-minute clinic run by some of the most well-recognized names in the Edmonton Squash community. National Masters Team Championships silver-medallists Jeff Williams and John de Vries will be teaching techniques and drills, Curtis Gillespie and Steven Atkins will help us on the finer points of the rules and Jane Marshall will be teaching squash specific Yoga stretches to keep your body healthy.

Fun Time on Court
Following the instructional portion of the night, all participants will be able to play a series of friendly games to 11 in singles or 3-way play, as well as an opportunity to try doubles for those that wish.
Relax and Indulge
After squash, relax in the steam room to soothe your muscles and then come enjoy a glass of wine or special mix-drink curated by our front desk manager Anne Seath.
